Finale: Niiyelola wa Lila

Summary

A Niiyelola wa Lila or The Soul of The Artist is typically a self-defined masterwork that utterly exhausts the artist’s creativity resulting in self-transcendence within the artist.

The execution of the Niiyelola wa Lila typically consumes the entire career of an artist. Either ending their career early or if it is done late in life it is rarely completed.

“Don’t you see? It’s all perfect.”

-Ram Dass

“It’s all perfect because it can become anything else at any time, the infinite potential for change is the inherent perfection of everything.”

-Ntombemnyama

“Each of you is perfect just the way you are…and you could use some improvement.”

-Shunryu Suzuki

“You are only enlightened when you know for yourself, in your own words, thoughts, heart, and deeds what it means for you to be enlightened. No one else’s enlightenment will ever be enough.”

-Ntombemnyama

“No one imagines that a symphony is supposed to improve as it goes along or that the whole object of playing is to reach the finale. The point of music is discovered in every moment of playing and listening to it. It is the same, I feel, with the greater part of our lives, and if we are unduly absorbed in improving them we may forget altogether to live them.”

-Alan Watts

“Nothing we see or hear is perfect. But right there in the imperfection is perfect reality.”

-Shunryu Suzuki

“Don’t you get it? Without the potential to change, reality would lack something making it imperfect, but because we have the potential to be anything, including the potential to suffer and the potential not to suffer. We lack nothing whatsoever, not even lacking something. Thus, we, this our reality, is perfect for it is everything including nothing.”

-Ntombemnyama

The core lesson or Truth of this course is The Truth of Perfection, you own innate perfection and the perfection of everyone and everything. The practical exercises of this course will take you step-by-step through an Existential Embodied Inquiry into The Truth of Perfection.

A grounded lesson in perfection is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and post-traumatic growth (PTG). The same trauma under different conditions can either cause the brain to rewire to create pathology and suffering or what the monks and nuns mean when they talk of Hell. Or the same trauma can cause the brain to rewire in ways that produce greater well-being, health, and happiness. Suffering much like all parts of reality is value neutral having no fixed nor inherent meaning. Even the label ‘suffering’ is doubtful because in the appropriate sexual context pain, bondage, and humiliation of extreme and extensive varieties can be fully welcomed. Even Slave Play is a known kink. And the opposite is also true great pleasures pushed to their extremes can become high order tortures such is the case with non-consensual sex, or the 8th heaped plate of your favourite food.

During a meditation, if a non-injurious discomfort like an itch arises, drop the label of referring to it as an itch or a pain or even a sensation, with an empty mind turn your attention to it and just observe. Make no attempt to change it, just watch it.

In the Buddhist literature and in the Afrocentric paradigm a distinction is made between primary suffering (or injury) and secondary suffering (or discontent) in the former, and immediate causes (or natural causes) and ultimate causes (or transpersonal causes) in the latter. Discontent as an ultimate cause of suffering is like being angry at oneself for getting angry or being depressed about being depressed or worrying that you worry too much. Ultimate causes of suffering define what is considered suffering and what is not. Secondary suffering arises out of the meaning we give to our ‘injuries’, some of which are ultimately caused by others.

Post-traumatic stress disorder exists in relation to post-traumatic growth when it is defined in relation to higher stages of psychological and spiritual development. We see that the innate potential for change within everything supplants the present and ultimately impermanent state of a phenomenon. This is only a brief elaboration of this core lesson, I suggest that you review the quotes, contemplate, and meditate on them during your daily practice.

Practical Exercises

Throughout the course each practical exercise will present you with a Truth as a means of teaching the methodology of Existential Embodied Inquiry which was used in developing Complexity Ontology. These practical exercises are made to give each student direct experience of the transpersonal so that each of you gain a deeper insight into the subject/ An insight which cannot be directly taught but must be learned through personal practice.

The prescribed texts have been formulated through the methodology of Existential Embodied Inquiry which incorporates the use of multiple sources like the hermeneutic cycle while being situated within an empirical approach that utilises both subjective and intuitive data collection as well as objective data interpretation methods similar to the methodologies of Integral Inquiry. Existential Embodied Inquiry is premised on the principles of Complementarity, Nonduality, Simultaneity, and Entitivity. These principles when applied state that the subjective, objective, abjective, superjective, synjective, and omnijective domains of inquiry are the irreducible inner, outer, between, above, integrated, and overall perspectives of the same reality. It is equally true of intuitive epistemologies and rational epistemologies. Due to the irreducibility of all domains, a complete understanding of a phenomenon requires an approach that honours all these principles.

Part One: Finding and Testing A Truth

1. Obtain the untested truths (given theory/model) about a phenomenon

2. Test the validity of these truths through their embodiment (similar to phenomenology)

3. Record personal experiential accounts of these truths while fully embodying them

4. Integrate these personal accounts into a personal theory/model of the phenomenon

5. Compare and integrate the preliminary and given model to produce a detailed intuitive theory/model.

Part Two: Integrating and Interpreting A Truth

1. Gather, compare, and integrate corroborative theories and models in the current literature with the intuitive theory/model

2. Gather, compare, and integrate critical/non-corroborative theories and models in the current literature with the intuitive model

3. Produce a final integrated detailed theory/model of the truths of the phenomenon

Part Three: Modelling and Reviewing A Truth

1. Internalise and embody this final integrated theory

2. Write personal experiential accounts of the experience

3. Review and edit the final theory to ensure that it more accurately captures the truths of the phenomenon as they are embodied by oneself and others in the contemporary literature

Considerations of Validity, Reliability, and Rigour

The validity, reliability, and rigour of the models developed by the method of Existential Embodied Inquiry involves the technique of Post-Facto Modelling. Post Facto Modelling involves the exclusion of inference about the next stage of development one aims to model. Without relying on inference, the researcher first proceeds with the attainment and integration of the next stage of psychological development. After the stage is fully attained and embodied, the researcher then sets out to model the now fully embodied stage.

Through the exclusion or rather postponement of inference, interpretation, and other modelling-related activities until one has fully observed the transpersonal phenomenon they aim to model, this diminishes the inclusion of unverified components within the model. The three-fold process from the initial experiential accounts and the intuitive models developed within and from them. These intuitive models are compared to the current models within the literature of Transpersonal Studies and a novel model is produced which integrates the new model with present literature which is further verified as it is tested by embodied experience of the phenomena one is modelling. Post-Facto Modelling is further supported by the limitations on inference imposed by the discrepancies between stages of psychological development and their discourses of consciousness.

As a practical exercise we will build on the practice of Shikantaza that we presented in the previous lesson.

The instructions for this practical exercise are to contemplate and meditate upon The Truth of Perfection through Existential Embodied Inquiry. Since we have found The Truth of Perfection, and to each of you it is untested, your first exercise is to test The Truth of Perfection in the following ways:

1. Obtain the untested truths (given theory/model) about a phenomenon

You have already obtained the untested truth which is The Truth of Perfection, it is untested because you have not tested it in your own life, so you have not verified whether it is true or not.

 2. Test the validity of these truths through their embodiment (similar to phenomenology)

To embody this The Truth of Perfection you must first realize this perfection within yourself.

i. Make a list of five memories in which you experienced significant loss of something you valued (a relationship, a smartphone, a home, a person, an old habit, your health, or your old identity. etc) (i.e., a significant negative change).

ii. Make a list of five memories in which you experienced significant gain of something that you desired for a long time or something that you needed (i.e., a significant positive change).

iii. For each memory list three reasons why you consider each memory significant and how each memory contributes to who you are at this moment.

iv. Now with clear awareness of your potential and your life’s potential to change significantly at any moment, please formulate a short sentence in which you state an intention to fully embody your own perfection in every moment.

For example: “Now, I am perfect, and I will never forget.”

or “It’s all perfect.”

or “With each breath I fully embody The Truth of Perfection.”

For at least 10 minutes sit quietly, and comfortably and close your eyes and mentally repeat your intention firmly before your daily spiritual practice.

Additionally, before your daily practice of meditating on your intention, state before the meditation that “In this meditation session I will fully realize and embody my innate perfection.”

v. Behave as if you, everything, and everyone else are inherently perfect for a week. Change nothing about your behaviour that doesn’t change naturally. Simply, include as an assumption about daily life that “It’s all perfect.” (i.e., live as if The Truth of Perfection is true).

4. Record personal experiential accounts of these truths while fully embodying them

For at least one week meditate on this intention daily and keep a journal in which you record your experiences of each meditation session and any notable events during the day that may be related to The Truth of Perfection.

5. Integrate these personal accounts into a personal theory/model of the phenomenon

Construct your own model/theory about Perfection, what it is, how it works, where it comes from, and completely model Perfection as an ontological process.

6. Compare and integrate the preliminary and given model to produce a detailed intuitive theory/model.

Review section 1.2. The Core Lesson: Perfection and write a brief comparison of the The Truth of Perfection as it is presented in the course, particularly the quotes, and develop a more detailed theory/model of Perfection.

Remember to preserve all records of your exercises because they will be required for future practical exercises and tests and thus will be required for completing this course.

Summary

Transcend Thyself

Don’t dilute yourself,

Act from the highest level you can

By doing so you give others the opportunity to transcend their selves.

The ordinary assumptions that bind one in a life addicted to suffering, by purity their prisoners are shown that the doors of heaven, hell, and perception are all their own.

Did You Know:

That baby sheep become adult sheep.

As we are all God’s children (i.e., baby gods, what is our real adulthood?

What happens when all our lower case ‘g’s grow up?

“The primary ontological assumption of Complexity Ontology is a psychological application of the Complexity Paradigm.”

The Complexity Paradigm exists in relation to the Newtonian scientific paradigm which, within academia, has been defined as having a strictly physicalist ontology as it is presented as positing that what truly exists or is real is matter and energy. Matter and Energy are defined as inherently inert or non-living objects. In a universe in which the human mind, defined in solely cognitivist and behaviourist terms is as an emergent property of the brain, is the only truly living or rather conscious phenomenon. Oddly, enough this objectified and physicalist notion of reality contradicts Newton’s own vision of reality. Newton was deeply involved in alchemy, astrology, and other magickal arts. Along with Leibniz, his contemporary and co-inventor of Calculus, Newton much like Dr. John Dee, his precursor, was involved in Magick and Occultism because at the time the contemporary separation of science and magick did not exist. For a more detailed account of the Newtonian paradigm and the Western Esoteric Tradition and its relationship to Modern Science I recommend Chapman’s Complexity and Creative Capacity and Louv’s John Dee and The Empire of Angels.
The Complexity Paradigm as it is applied in Complexity Ontology is premised upon Whitehead’s Process Philosophy, Heisenberg’s, Bohr’s, and Schrodinger’s quantum physics, the trialogues of Sheldrake in morphology, Abraham in chaos theory, and McKenna in ethnobotany. Additionally, it’s rooted in Transpersonal Psychology particularly Wilber and Ferrer’s integral and participatory theories. Finally, it draws on my years of modelling and scientifically integrating the insights, psychological and spiritual developments, and soteriological experiences from practicing Buddhist meditation Anapanasati, Shikantaza, and Japa, under the auspices Regardie’s ceremonial magick, and Louv, DuQuette, Chapman, Hine, P-Orridge, and Carroll’s chaos magick.

In comparison to the Newtonian paradigm’s universe of static, non-living, and particulate objects. The Complexity Paradigm presents an infinitely vast cosmos composed of infinitesimal processes which are linked in omnidirectional feedback loops to form larger and stable and open systemic processes. This means the world is inherently fluid and the distinctions, limits, and boundaries among all things are connections rather than separations.

“From this primary ontological assumption and from the empirical data that is the basis
of Complexity Ontology, Complexity Ontology assumes that psychological states and
structures, such as states and structures of consciousness, although considered distinct
categories of experience, structures of Consciousness are not, as their name suggests, a static
phenomenon because if one understands the psyche to be the totality of one’s experience, not
even persistent experiences are identical with each repetition. One cannot draw two identical
circles, nor breathe two identical breaths, nor take two identical steps, nor even think two
identical thoughts. As with each repetition the meaning is different due to the changes that
occur within the system with each experience. What is classically meant by psychological
structures are rather psychological functions. Functions, like abilities rather than identities, are static in the sense that they can be used repeatedly, consciously, or unconsciously, like learnt abilities, and secondly, they are dynamic because they are developed through repeated usage, like learnt skills are developed through practice.
Following from the view that the psyche (i.e., the totality of experience), is functional
(i.e., like a set of abilities) similarly identities, including being, are functions. Thus, with the
self being conceived of as a function it is not fixed nor is it an absolute boundary for
behaviour. Identity as a self-concept is viewed as a selective habit that is actively maintained
in comparison to being intrinsic or essential it is just another psychological function. In
relation to the primary ontological assumptions, the notion of the functional psyche and
therein the functional identity, no systemic process within the psyche is considered superior or even more fundamental than any other. This non-essentialism means that there is no limit to experience and further no limitations to psychological development. Like the Cosmos, the
psyche is a vast and ever evolving complex of fundamentally interdependent processes. Thus,
the typical distinctions made between phenomena are perceptual and analytic whereas the
psyche, like the Cosmos, is intrinsically unified.
Complexity Ontology defines Psychology as the scientific study of the qualitative
processes that compose somatic, affective, cognitive, consciousness-related, subjective,
existential, potential, and behavioural experiences in terms of their physiology, morphology,
and developmentally. In the context of Complexity Ontology, qualitative process are qualia
which are a combination of sensation, intuition, and cognition that produce the perception of
the redness of a red apple in comparison to the physical process that produces the frequency
of light waves that correlate to the colour red and the biochemical process of chromogenesis
that produces the red pigment within the apple, or the biological process of the stimulation of
the retina and the functions of the occipital lobe. In classical terms qualia are the products of
the Yogic ‘jnana’ or the Gnostic ‘gnosis’ which define the differences among seeing this page
of text, looking at this page of text, reading this page of text, understanding it, and learning
and thus, growing from it. Complexity Ontology presents the human psyche as a set of
horizontally and vertically interconnected processes which form nested networks of systemic
processes that mature through linear and non-linear growth processes along a stage-wise
progression forming a growth hierarchy.”

1.1. The Six Classes of Phenomena

In short, there are at least six classes of phenomena or elements or simply “types of stuff.” They are:

  1. Soma, which is physical stuff. In which the Somatic center can be considered the nervous systems, the body for Soma is the physical body. Soma is composed of Quanta which are quantitative processes. Soma can be viewed is equivalent to the Physico-Temporal plane or Space-Time which is infinitely vast in all scales, and all directions. The smallest process we measure in Complexity Ontology is the Yoctosystemic which is one septillionth (〖10^(-24)〗^ or 0.000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 01) although there are Presystemic and Protsystemic processes used to describe the potentiality of a process before it actually exists. At the high end there is the eschasystemic which is one googolth (10^100 or ten followed by a hundred zeros). The Eschasystemic is equivalent to the Presystemic as the latter is the one before the beginning the former is the one before the end. The final scale is the Ultimasystemic which is as infinitely large as the Protosystemic is infinitesimally small. What it represents in plainer terms is The Void or the blankness of a canvas. The Protosystemic is a completely blank canvas and the Ultimasystemic is a completely black canvas.
  2. Psyche, which is psychological stuff. Has the mind or consciousness as the psychic center and the ego or identity or personality as the psychological body. Psyche is composed of Qualia which are qualitative processes. All classes of phenomena can be experienced as simultaneously individuated, discrete, and unique and similarly universal, continuous, and unified in their infinite scale and variety. Simply, our own personal soma, psyche, spirit, divinity, mystery, and void are like concentric waves in an undifferentiated ocean. Waves are as wet and salty as the rest of the ocean and as wet and salty as every other wave. It’s all water.
  3. Spirit whose center is the life-force or Chiah or Atman and whose body is the soul. Spiritual phenomena are composed of Noumena which are numinous processes.
  4. The Infinite, which is the fourth class of phenomena that has Deity as its center and divinity, or more clearly has, The Cosmos as its body. The Infinite is composed of divinity which in the Dissecting The Infinite series is not addressed apart from the Ultimasystemic processes. This being the case we will only be discussing the first three classes of phenomena, and only marginally mentioning the fourth as divine development and development in the fifth and above classes is best described in the following way. Spiritual development can be viewed as an expanding bubble in the Undifferentiated Ocean of Reality. With each session of spiritual practice, the bubble expands and with each stage of spiritual development it expands even faster to include more of the ocean within the bubble. At the Ultimasystemic and with divine development the bubble includes the whole ocean and the expansion of the bubble and the ocean are identical. With psychological and spiritual development, the bubble is being measured in comparison to the larger ocean but with The Infinite there is no longer an external reference point to determine whether there is an increase in size. Another analogy is the way in which we can measure how much water there is in a glass but when the glass is full and water overflows we can’t use the glass to determine the amount of water that is not in the glass.
  5. The fifth class is The Mystery which described in significant detail in Chapter Four but not as a class of phenomena. Although a partial model is present no true model of the unknown or the unconscious can be made without making the unknown known and the unconscious conscious in the process which would refute the model.
  6. The sixth class is the Void, which is finite and polychrome, then transfinite and monochrome, the infinite and transparent, then trans-infinite and unbounded and finally Undifferentiated Void.

The present course in Transpersonal Development is based on the Dissecting The Infinite book series. The present text, Dissecting The Infinite: An Introduction to Transpersonal Development is the Rosetta Stone of the whole series and the prescribed text for the course of the same name. The title of the series indicates the Transpersonal origins of the insights that compose the contents of the present text. While dissection invokes the scientific approach to the transpersonal which grounds the foundations of Complexity Ontology, upon which the models in the series are built, in the Complexity Sciences. Additionally. Complexity Ontology is the application of the Complexity Paradigm within the field of Transpersonal Psychology. Overall, the contents of Dissecting The Infinite have been developed, edited, and updated from 2013-2 021 up to the week of their release which means that this is a frontier course based on the latest findings in Transpersonal scholarship. The mention of The Infinite in the title of the book, and therein it’s embodiment in the various subtitles, indicate that the text is not solely for theoretical or academic study but is an actual way of perceiving and relating to reality. A way of experiencing and being that is typical of the highest states of consciousness, and highest stages of psychological and spiritual development. Transpersonal development encompasses the psychological development through the attainment of persistent and integrated higher states and stages of consciousness. With higher referring greater maturity which much like other forms of development being 55 is not necessarily better or more preferable than being 25 or 15 or 5 nor is the converse true. More specifically, being at a stage that is not well suited to one’s environment (i.e., a stage that is poorly integrated) will in most cases result diminished and, if persistent, in pathological functioning. We see this in Dark Night experiences and the numerous sexual scandals of highly developed spiritual leaders. Additionally, transpersonal development includes the attainment of higher stages of spiritual development. The core difference between spiritual and psychological development is that spiritual development is ontological and psychological development are perceptual and behavioural involving changes in sensation, intuition, cognition, and personality. Transpersonal development specifically refers to the development of higher states and stages of consciousness and spiritual development. The relationship of spiritual and psychological development is that psychological development involves the integration of higher stages of spiritual development into daily life resulting in broader and thus more optimal functionality.

The current course consists of six basic elements. Firstly, the prescribed texts, the Dissecting The Infinite series, which will itself be dissected in terms of its implications of transpersonal development and daily life. Each lesson will cover a key section of the prescribed series although I assure you that the present text, Dissecting The Infinite: An Introduction to Transpersonal Development, will be main source for the course excerpts from the rest of the series have been included although I highly recommend studying the whole series if you require a more extensive understanding of transpersonal development. Secondly, each section of the book will have a one hour free-form commentary which is to be treated as inspiration for personal meditation and furthermore contemplation of each section. I recommend that you critically reflect upon and personally apply everything you learn in the course so that it becomes part of your way of life as it is not merely a theory or philosophy but a way of relating to reality (i.e., oneself, others, the environment, and the cosmos) which is why Complexity Ontology is called a pragmatic ontology. Thus, Complexity Ontology is a foundational guide for understanding, integrating and embodying, and actively growing into higher stages of transpersonal development. I recommend that you listen to each inspirational commentary as an auditory incense integrated into your daily spiritual practice.

As each lesson can be viewed as a practice, I recommend that you find a quiet space and time to focus entirely on the recording.

  1. Sit comfortably and using a pair of earphones or headphones with your device.

2. Play the commentary with your eyes closed after reading the prescribed material.

3. Simply, listen to the commentary.

4. If any distracting thought, memories, emotions, or sensations arise briefly acknowledge them without entertaining them, and return your attention to listening to the commentary.

5. Do not try to force yourself to not be distracted, and don’t try to understand, remember, or interpret the commentary during your first listen,

6. Let any reactions you have just pass through you like a cool breeze

7. If anything, significantly distracting arises address it immediately and then return to just listening.

The instructions for the meditation are to:
Just sit.

This is a Zen meditation of the Soto Zen School. The meditation is called Shikantaza which translates to ‘just sitting’. Unlike most meditations where you first learn to concentrate, until your mind is naturally quiet, and then you rest in the mental silence, which is when meditation practice really begins. In Shikantaza you make no concentrative efforts to create silence, you merely sit and allow the inherent underlying and all-pervasive silence of the mind to become apparent to you.
The purpose of the commentary is that it is a passive method of keeping the mind concentrated. You allow the audio to replace the typical mental commentary produced by the untrained mind.

  1. The process of Shikantaza is two-fold.
  2. Sit comfortably with a relaxed body and proceed as if you are going to sleep.
Continue to rest while staying awake.

The point is that you silence your mind naturally and effortlessly every night as you fall asleep, and when you can’t fall asleep you notice that your mind produces thoughts on its own. That most of the thoughts in your mind are involuntary. So, much like all the other senses, cognition functions both in involuntary and voluntary forms.

So, in meditation all you have to do is press play and just sit. I recommend that you do some Shikantaza regularly as well without the audio support, the external silence will be helpful in highlighting the inner noise.
Thirdly, each section will involve a thirty-minute lecture consisting of Narrated Slides which will formally elaborate the prescribed section and its implications for development and daily life. Fourthly, there will be a test after each lesson to review the lesson’s material and finally practical exercises to foster a novel perception and relationship to reality. Thank for joining me for this lesson. In the following lesson we will start Dissecting The Infinite.

For supplementary material go to Giggles at The End of Time at (www.ntombemnyama.wordpress.com) which has a variety of articles which apply Complexity Ontology.

Leashless is an experience anthology that guides each individual through a transpersonal journey to a life of abundance. Each piece in the anthology expresses the magickal intention for becoming the source of abundance and thus transcending a scarcity mentality and life of attachment.. The book contains real 2D fractal sigils based on the Kali Maa magick square. Each experience manifests the core intention within oneself through its embodiment as each individual weaves through each experience.

Dissecting The Infinite: Epistemology (Audiobook)

Summary

In a wrrrrd of many religions many people are spiritual.

But out of thoooose who are spiritual very few know about transpersonal development.

But out those who knnnnow, few of them pursue transpersonal development diligently.

Out of the few who do, less of thhhhem achieve higher states and stages of development.

Those who achieve them often become satissssfied and grow no further than the first four stages.

Out of the very few who discover that there are moxxxxe than these four stages,

few of them go beyond these initial stages and even less of theeeem complete the path.

Out of the very few who complete the path even less of them fully emboddddy and psychologically and socially integrate their transpersonal development and thus there is indeed very few who can be calllled transpersonally mature.

‘n the Dissecting The Infinite series we will exte nsively study tranpersonal deveopment from the beginning to the end. Transersonal Deembodiment of higher states and stages of conciousness. In addition to nouminous phenomena like st-ages of spiitual dvelopment and the clasn ses of phenomena but since this i]Giggles at The End of Time we willdo it n the form of commentaries to the ook, and articles, and course from Dissecting The Infinite: An Introvduction to Transpersonal Develpment.

This view can be defined as the poly-perspectival principle of Simultaneity. Which states that any phenomenon fully occupies and extends beyond all perspectives from which it can be viewed (i.e. each phenomenon inhabits and thus embodies the entitive reality of the multiple perspectives from which it can be viewed, and the multiple modalities through which it can be experienced). Which means that all accounts of reality are only partially true in isolation, are truer when integrated but are never ultimately true because no account of reality can be complete (refer to Mystery as Theoretical Incompleteness). Here Complexity Epistemology applies Godel’s Incompleteness Theorem which states that no system of knowledge can account for all the truths produced within the same system of knowledge (Chapman, 2015; Hofstadter, 1979).

Omnism integrates and extends the preceding perspectives as it posits that because any phenomena has the potential to be anything, both ontologically and epistemologically, then everything is literally everything else including the uniqueness of being a distinct and individual entity (i.e., being itself). Omniletheism then posits that all truths are absolutely true but only under the specific conditions in which their truth can be verified. For example, from a first-person on the ground perspective if one were living in small region of the Earth their whole life the notion that the Earth is flat is quite convincing and was in fact considered true prior to contrary scientific evidence. Yet the same first-person perspective after a circumnavigation of the Earth reveals that Earth is round. More epistemologically problematic is the following empirical experiment. If one were to take a plumbline, which is used to measure the levelness of architecture, one can operationalise ‘flat’ as meaning ‘level as measured by a plumbline’. This plumbline can be taken to homes all over the world and placed on the floor of each house and based on these measurements, which if the architecture of each house is sound, will reveal the absolute truth that the Earth is flat. Yet similar images of orbit, a different measurement, reveals that the Earth is round. These perspectives are both only relatively true because even the live video from orbit does not clearly depict the actual relief of the land. Flat and Round are abstractions of a planetary relief that only approximates those descriptions (i.e. the data underdetermines the theory remember the notion of Mystery as Theoretical Incompleteness).

This has implications in regards to the dualities, typically represented as dichotomies, of Rationality and Irrationality, Holism and Elementalism, Subjectivity and Objectivity, Constitutionalism and Environmentalism, and Proactivity and Reactivity which can be used to differentiate the psychological paradigms of Behaviourism, Cognitivism, Psychoanalysis, Humanism, the Ecosystemic paradigm, and Integral Psychology (Friedman & Hartelius, 2013; Jordaan, 2020; Wilber, 1998). In addition to the duality of Essentialism and Equiprimacy discussed by (Ferrer, 2001).

“The Ultimate Reality is one; but it is personal as well as impersonal.”

Sri Ramakrishna

“We live in illusion and the appearance of things. There is a reality. We are that reality. When you understand this, you see that you are nothing, and being nothing, you are everything.”

Kalu Rinpoche

‘You are It, but it is not your self because you don’t identify with it. You just are it.’

Ntombemnyama

‘As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul’

Hermes Trismegistus

‘The totality of Reality is in a single point for it is the Cosmos pointing at itself.’

Ntombemnyama

The fourth paradigmatic shift culminates in the Infinity stage which resulted in the persistent extinction of all suffering. The following stages live no longer relationship to addressing discontent but rather relationship to optimizing and expanding contentment. In the Infinity stage one assumes:

  1. Abundance as one no longer lives or acts primarily out of need, want, or desire but simply abundance in a mode of sheer celebration in each moment.
  2. Power of Assumption is the view that belief + intention + attention = manifestation but if one uses this formula from a perspective that assumes an inherent lack resulting in desire and then attachment to a particular outcome the manifestation process will fail. The power of assumption is assuming abundance without desires nor attachment resulting in view that the outcome is already manifest and just needs to be noticed.
  3. Liberation, freedom from all attachments and aversions and thus freedom from all suffering (i.e. kaivalya and nirvana).

Following the Universe stage is the Multiverse stage which assumes that the Cosmos is the only Reality. The Infiniverse stage afterwards assumes that the Cosmos is multiple Realities viewed from one cosmic perspective. The Microsmic stage further assumes that there are multiple cosmic perspectives on a plurality of Realities. The Multicosmic stage adds that the Cosmos is composed of multiple perspectives on a plurality of Realities forming multiple integrated systems spanning all levels of reality. Furthermore, The Macrocosmic stage assumes that the Cosmos as whole has a Psyche, that in all things everywhere there is one or more kinds of consciousness.  The Absolute is followed by the disentanglement from the processes of identification and personalisation and fixity of identity and reality that results from them. The fluidity and liberation that emerges as one increasingly disidentifies with and depersonalises with all phenomena through the growth processes of deconditioning of discontent-centred and egocentric habits and the resocialisation to peace-centred and cosmocentric habits. This progression develops into a syncretic view that integrates and honours all the previous assumptions through Omnism. Since The Absolute stage Omnism has developed through the elaboration of the contents and meaning of ‘All’ and ‘Everything’ which include with them all preceding assumptions and the Mystery.
